FAMILY'S FIRST

My brother Jeric's been suffering from fever for the past 4 days last week. Since the fever's not subsiding even if he's drinking medicines, I suggested that he should go see a doctor. Boom! Jeric have dengue.

He was admitted at San Lazaro Hospital where Dengue is one of their expertise. As a brother, I really can't help but to worry. Even though I work for Salamat Dok, I felt so ignorant on this coz this is the first time ever in the history of our family that a family member has been hospitalized.

So before going to work, I always drop by at the hospital to check on my bro and after work, I still do the same.

After 4 days, he was discharged last Monday, October 26. I was happy even though it really took a toll on my money (huhuhu) ...but it doesn't end there coz my other brother Joel (who's next to me) got admitted with the same case...dengue.

Now, Joel's on his 4th day and hopefully if God forbids...he can come out today.

SORRY...I FORGOT!

It was a Saturday night when I received a text message. The number wasn't registered in my phonebook so I asked the sender politely about his/her identity and even said that my phone's setting was reset so his/her digits wasn't recognize (believe me guys; this bluff always works, like two thumbs up!)

Anyways, so the anonymous texter replied and it turned out that the latter is a guy named Arman. The name really doesn't ring a bell so I did followed-up another question. He said that we already met and he's from Kamias and that we had, you know...sex. and he claims that we did it in his apartment. My mind went totally bogus about what he was saying.

I CAN'T REMEMBER HIM!

I'm sure I should put the blame on me for having some casual flirtations that would inevitably lead to a one night stand.

After a thorough thinking and like almost digging my brain for his identity, I finally knew who he is...

Yes, he's from Kamias and that everything he said was true.

I just told him, sorry Arman, I forgot!

Lol...

INZATIABLE MEETS MILF

At last, Inzatiable came face to face with the MILF last Saturday, Ocotber 17, 2009 in one of their satellite camps in a top secret area in Marawi.

From the hotel where we stayed, our MILF guide fetched us at 6am and travelled 2 and a half hours to meet the MILF.

Since I am the newbie among the group (We were just three who went there) I was introduced to Commander Anderson and the rest of his troops. Two faces were familiar, I was surprised when I found out that it was Abdullah and Walid. These two were still kids when we featured them in Rated K sometime in 2004.

Being a stranger (not to mention the homosexuality thing) I acted very meekly and just smile at everyone who looks at me. As time goes by, I became more accustomed to the people living in that area including the MILF's...In short, close na kami. LOL!!!

So I took the chance to pose with them, smoke with them and converse with them.

I even posed with a big big gun with me. GOd, it's heavy!!! I wonder how they run during combat carrying those things.

In fairness, they were very accommodating. They even served us lunch and in all fairness...it was superb!

Now, if you were to ask the Inzatiable, how's the feeling of meeting and greeting the MILF...I can say that they are somehow misunderstood...After all they are still humans...they are still Filipinos.

INZATIABLE AT MARAWI CITY

I never thought that I would go as far as Marawi City, Lanao del Sur if we're gonna talk about the places I've been to because of my job.

When I, Inzatiable first found out that I would go to Mindanao to cover the MILF (actually, it's the mothers of the MILF's) I really really felt scared and at the same time very very eager. I mean, it's not everyday that you'd be given a chance to do a story on MILF.

Anyways, Marawi City is like almost a 4-hour drive from Cagayan de Oro. I'm really not sure coz I was sleeping during the travel time. That's what they call the power nap...hehehe.

I was told that Marawi City is a 100% Muslim City...meaning no pork allowed. So I was deprived of pork meat for my 3 days stay. Frankly speaking, I felt like I was in Quiapo.

We stayed at Marawi Resort Inc., the only hotel in Marawi City. The place have a lovely scenery not to mention the cold wind kissing your skin when you wake up in the morning and most especially at night.

Trivia, (maybe just for me) the place don't sell liquors. It's because of the Muslim culture that drinking is a bad thing as per Allah. (I can almost compare Marawi City to Iwahig in Palawan and the one in Mindoro, basing from the feeling that you can freely roam around the area but unfortunately you have nothing else to do)

But wait, there's more...thanks to Manong Guard, Inzatiable and my cameraman were able to indulge oursleves to 2 liters of Red Horse Beer. Lol.

October 18, when Inzatiable left Marawi City, I felt more of a Journalist, that there are still a lot of things for everybody to know. Felt more of a Filipino, that we have to be aware the situations of the people in Mindanao and Inzatiable felt more of a person, knowing that we have to embrace and respect each other's culture and belief.

CHECKED!

Meet Anthony...32 years old. Half Australian and half Portuguese. We met in Singapore. He's also a tourist when I went there last August. He's based in Jakarta, Indonesia and works as a Professor.

Next....Lol!!!

OFF TO MARAWI...

I was given a task rather an assignment in Rated K to do a coverage in Marawi City for our episode that is dedicated to the women close to our hearts...our moms.

Anyways, the story that I'll be covering alongside my writer and cameraman is the story of a mother who happens to have a son who joined the forces of MILF.

Yes, you read it right people...MILF.

Well, at first I felt excited coz i know for a fact that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity so might as well take a bite on it. But on second thought, how safe is it?! Argh!

A lot of crazy things are running through my mind...like what if we were kidnapped or what if I get raped or even worse. I also entertained the idea of wondering if there may be (fingers crossed) good looking MILF's...LOL!

So guys, Marawi here I come.

Manila, I'll be back!

YNALD'S BDAY

Last month, it was Ynald's birthday last September 18 and of course he celebrated it with us...his friends.

It's like how many months since I last saw these people, my other barkadas aside from Zelda's group. Too bad, one of our dear friend Lea wasn't able to join us coz she just migrated to Canada with her family.

AFTER THE RELIEF!

What is one of the best way to reward yourself after a very tiring day of doing a relief operation...of course no other than a bottle (or should I say bottles...lol) of iced cold beer.

So, we quenched our thirst in a nearby restobar along Sgt. Esguerra Avenue. Would you believe that they have Sizzling Crocodile on their menu? Believe it!

So cheers to those who devotes their time and effort for the welfare of others. I, you, we are the unsung heroes of our country...Kudos!!!
